[June 17, 2009] - With customized Twitter backgrounds becoming the standard among the Twitter community, TwitBacks has partnered with Picnik, the popular online photo editing site, to allow Twitter users to fully customize their profile background. TwitBacks members can now enhance the design of their Twitter background without using expensive photo editing software or paying top dollar to a custom designer.
With the new Picnik feature, TwitBacks users are able to add shapes, colors, text, effects, and more to their Twitter background, right from the site. After filling in their personal branding information and choosing a TwitBacks design, users are presented with an option to “enhance” their Twitter background even further. The Picnik customization options are available without ever leaving TwitBacks, making the process a smooth and simple one. Once completed, the one-of-a-kind Twitter background can be saved and uploaded to Twitter right away.
“Fully customized backgrounds are a great way to brand yourself on Twitter,” says Misty Lackie, CEO of Go Smart Solutions, LLC, the creators of TwitBacks. “With our new Picnik feature, TwitBacks members can get a one-of-a-kind background with little time and no money.”
While TwitBacks already offers over 60 professionally designed Twitter backgrounds, this new benefit delivers customization options that allow TwitBacks users to easily design their own look and feel, creating a truly personalized Twitter background.
TwitBacks.com became popular among Twitter users after its launch on Thanksgiving Eve, 2008, offering free branded backgrounds for Twitter profiles. The startup currently offers several professionally designed backgrounds as well as the option for users to upload their own background or customize colors. TwitBacks are branded with the Twitter user’s logo and photo, as well as links to their social networks, blog and websites, and a short bio. TwitBacks also offers a “Promote Profile” benefit which caters to service providers on Twitter by placing their information into a full-page advertisement that is syndicated across the web.
