Facebook Privacy Settings – Do you really want to be used in Facebook ads?

Do you want your Facebook actions to control what ads show up on your friends Facebook wall? You know those ads; the ones that show pictures of Jennifer Aniston telling you how you can look 20 years younger? Or the ones that promise you can lose 10 pounds in 5 days? You may be appearing in these ads if you are not aware of the Facebook privacy setting that allows for this.

The Facebook News Feed and Wall setting states:

“Facebook occasionally pairs advertisements with relevant social actions from a user’s friends to create Facebook Ads. Facebook Ads make advertisements more interesting and more tailored to you and your friends. These respect all privacy rules. You may opt out of appearing in your friends’ Facebook Ads below.”

So how can you disable this?

When logged into Facebook navigate to “Settings”
